Eric Doucet is a professional musician based in Edmonton, Alberta. A music major, he is currently studying Piano/Clavier Performance in the Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Contemporary Pop program at MacEwan University. He can often be found performing in Edmonton and beyond as a keyboardist for various bands. Eric is co-leader and founder of the experimental band High Tides and keyboardist for the funk-soul band Carter & the Capitals and the jazz-fusion band Cardioid. He can also be heard on recent recordings by multiple singer-songwriters including Paul Cournoyer, Brooke Woods, Bryan Coffey and Sierra Jamerson. He is just as active in French as he is in English or in instrumental music, which gives him an impressive range of styles to tackle. He has shared the stage with many renowned artists including Simple Plan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Damien Robitaille and Radio Radio. Eric has performed across Canada in many of the world's most prestigious venues including the Francis Winspear Centre, the Eric Harvie Theatre at the Banff Centre and the Yardbird Suite. He has also performed under the auspices of several renowned festivals including the Edmonton International Jazz Festival, the Festival du Voyageur, the Franco-fête de l'Acadie and Edmonton Chante.
Eric is available for hire as a pianist and keyboardist for all occasions. He is also an experienced educator and semi-competent singer, saxophonist, percussionist and sound engineer.
